NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Carthage’s Pete Djurickovic, Wheaton’s Pat Dansdill and North Central’s Nick Dace were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Football Players of the Week Monday.

Djurickovic, a senior wide receiver from Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Kenosha-Bradford High School (Public Relations major), caught five passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns in Carthage's 31-6 win over North Park on Saturday. His three touchdown receptions covered 33, 99 and 71 yards, respectively. His 99-yard TD return broke both Carthage and Art Keller Field game records of 92 yards set by quarterback Mark Phelps and receiver Rick Versen versus Wheaton on October 15, 1977. The 99-yard return also tied a CCIW record set by North Park’s Gary Duesenberg to Harvey King against Illinois Wesleyan in 1970.

Dansdill, a senior linebacker from Wheaton, Illinois and Wheaton-Warrenville South High School (Elementary Education major), led the Thunder defense with 10 solo tackles during a 49-7 win over Augustana on Saturday.  He also finished with two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Augustana was held to just 265 yards of total offense.

Dace, a junior kicker from Freeport, Illinois and Freeport High School (Sport Management major), tied his own school single-game record by kicking three field goals for the fifth time in his career during North Central’s 44-10 win over Elmhurst on Saturday. In addition, Dace was 5-for-5 on PATs and is now 17-for-17 overall this season. He also moved to 7-for-8 on field goals and now ranks second in school history in scoring with 222 points.

During the 2011-12 academic year, the CCIW honored 1,323 academic all-conference recipients, 16 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 1 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year, 89 all-Americans and three national championship teams.
