Nick Kukuc, Millikin’s
Marquette Moore and Illinois Wesleyan’s
Michael Kelley were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Football Players of the Week Monday.
Kukuc, a senior running back from Naperville, Illinois and Naperville Central High School (Physical Education major), scored a career-high four touchdowns on just 11 touches during the Cardinals’ 42-16 rout of 14th-ranked Redlands on Saturday. He scored North Central's first three touchdowns of the game and moved into second place in school history in scoring with 210 points. Kukuc finished with nine carries for 60 yards and three rushing touchdowns, as well as two receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown catch.
Moore, a senior linebacker from Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Mt. Vernon High School (Communication major), led the Big Blue with 14 total tackles, including eight solo stops, during a 49-20 win over Hope on Saturday. He also finished with an interception.
Kelley, a freshman kicker from Carbondale, Illinois and Carbondale High School (undecided major), accounted for nine of the Titans’ 53 points during a 53-7 win over Alma on Saturday. He finished 6-of-6 on PATs and also had a 33-yard field goal.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2011-12 academic year, the CCIW honored 1,323 academic all-conference recipients, 16 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 1 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year, 89 all-Americans and three national championship teams.
