NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan’s
Tara Clemens and North Central’s
Ebony Stallworth were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Tuesday.
Clemens, a senior from Bloomington, Illinois and Bloomington High School (Business-Marketing major), set a Drake Relays record and new school record in winning the 800-meter run (2:06.60) in the University/College Division on April 25 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Clemens’ time is the third best in NCAA Division III history and it also topped her own school record of 2:09.04 set in 2012.
Stallworth, a sophomore from South Holland, Illinois and Thornwood High School (Chemistry major), set a new school record in the shot put with a throw of 13.01 meters (42-8 1/2) at the Benedictine Twilight over the weekend. She placed third in the event and is ranked second in the CCIW and 28th on the TFRRS National list. She also set a personal best in the discus with a throw of 37.26 meters (122-3) and is ranked third in the CCIW. She also set a personal best in the hammer with a throw of 39.74 meters (130-4).

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2011-12 academic year, the CCIW honored 1,323 academic all-conference recipients, 16 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 1 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year, 89 all-Americans and three national championship teams.
