NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Charles Rosenberg was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Rosenberg, a senior forward from Palatine, Illinois and Fremd High School (Management major), was named the Chicago Marriott Naperville Tip-Off MVP as the Cardinals went 2-0 at their own weekend tournament. He scored 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field, along with five rebounds, three blocks and two steals during an 81-64 win over Trinity International in the season opener on Friday. On Saturday, he led North Central with 23 points, along with six rebounds and five assists during a 77-61 win over Bluffton.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2013-14 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,400 academic all-conference recipients, 14 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 87 all-Americans.
