Jamie Cuny was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Cuny, a sophomore forward from Naperville, Illinois and Naperville Central High School (Mathematics major), helped lead the Cardinals to a pair of victories last week to move to 8-0 on the season and remain the only undefeated team left in the CCIW. She recorded a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds in a 119-53 win at Trinity International on December 8 as the 66-point victory was the largest margin in program history. She followed that up with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks in a 101-97 win at Carroll on December 10, the first triple-double in program history while also setting a single-game school record for blocked shots.
