Redlinski, Laufenberg and Boudreau named CCIW Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Jocelyn Redlinski and Carthage’s Patti Laufenberg, along with Illinois Wesleyan’s Allie Boudreau were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Redlinski, a senior from Orchard Park, New York and Orchard Park High School (Entrepreneurship major), ran a varsity record, personal best and conference-leading time of 9.05 in the 60-meter hurdles portion of the pentathlon at the Illinois Wesleyan Keck Invitational over the weekend. Her time is currently ranked 12th nationally and was 44 seconds faster than the next athlete in the field. She also ranked ninth on the national list with a school record 3,403 points (3,382 flat track score) in the pentathlon.

Laufenberg, a senior from Waunakee, Wisconsin and Waunakee High School (Exercise & Sport Science major), won the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.73 at Carthage’s Red Invitational over the weekend. Her time currently leads the CCIW and is fifth on the national list. Laufenberg was also part of the winning 4x400-meter relay team (4:00.46) that is currently ranked 12th nationally.

Boudreau, a junior from Deerfield, Illinois and Deerfield High School (Business major), set a school record in the pentathlon with 3,478 points at the Keck Invitational. This score is currently ranked first in the CCIW and fourth on the national list.

During the 2012-13 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,400 academic all-conference recipients, 15 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-Americans, 30 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, 68 all-Americans and one national championship team.
