NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Charles Rosenberg was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.
Rosenberg, a senior forward from Palatine, Illinois and Fremd High School (Management major), averaged 26.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in two CCIW road wins last week. He led the Cardinals in both scoring and rebounding and posted back-to-back career highs in scoring. Rosenberg scored 26 points, pulled down eight rebounds and totaled three steals in a 62-46 win at Millikin on January 7. He followed with 27 points, 14 rebounds and four steals in a 75-70 overtime win at Wheaton on January 10.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2013-14 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,400 academic all-conference recipients, 14 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 87 all-Americans.
