NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Travis Morrison and
Luke Winder were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Morrison, a senior from Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Schaumburg High School (Physics major), won the 10,000-meter run at the Wheaton Invitational over the weekend, clocking a personal best time of 30:10.62. His time currently ranks first in both the CCIW and on the NCAA Division III national list.
Winder, a freshman from Joliet, Illinois and Plainfield Central (Physical Education major), won the pole vault at Wheaton, finishing with a height of 17-0 ¾ (5.20 meters). He is also ranked first in both the CCIW and Division III national list.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2013-14 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,400 academic all-conference recipients, 14 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 87 all-Americans.
