NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Katherine Canfield was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday.
Canfield, a sophomore from Aurora, Illinois and Rosary High School, clocked two collegiate unrested bests during the University of Chicago’s Phoenix Fall Classic over the weekend. She placed second in the consolation finals of the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.53. Canfield also finished with her first in-season time under a minute in the 100-yard backstroke at 59.95.
