2016 CCIW All-Conference Men's Basketball Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced the 2016 All-Conference Men's Basketball Team on Monday.

Augustana senior guard Hunter Hill (Byron, Ill./H.S.) won his second-straight Fred Young Most Outstanding Player award, becoming the Vikings' first back-to-back winner since John Laing in 1972 and 1973 and the first back-to-back winner overall since Carthage's Steve Djurickovic in 2010 and 2011.

Augustana's Grey Giovanine was named the CCIW Coach of the Year for the sixth time after leading the Vikings to their 15th CCIW regular season title in school history and seventh as Augustana head coach.

North Central forward Connor Raridon (Plainfield, Ill./Neuqua Valley) became the first Cardinal to win CCIW Freshman of the Year honors. 

The all-conference team and awards were voted on by the CCIW's head men's basketball coaches. The all-conference women's basketball team will be announced Friday afternoon.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2014-15 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,500 academic all-conference recipients, 19 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 46 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and 102 all-Americans.
