NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Tyler Vittal was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Vittal, a freshman from Roselle, Illinois and Lake Park High School (Exercise Science major), placed second at 197 pounds during UW-Eau Claire’s Don Parker Open on Saturday. He opened with a 6-2 decision against Luther’s Derek Stork and followed with a win by fall over No. 1 seed Logan Hortop of Augsburg. He then defeated St. Cloud State’s Trae Story by a 2-1 decision in the semifinal match, before a 9-4 loss to Luther’s Matt Chlebek in the championship.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services eight member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL).
