NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Claire Norfleet and
Gina Fisher were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.
Norfleet, a senior midfielder from Ellisville, Missouri and Lafayette High School (Sport Management/Marketing), helped move the Cardinals’ winning streak to six after wins over Beloit and Northwestern-St. Paul last week. She finished with two goals, six assists, four ground balls and four draw controls in a 16-4 win at Beloit on April 6. She added four goals, six assists and six draw controls in a 24-4 win over Northwestern on April 9.
Fisher, a senior midfielder from St. Louis, Missouri and Ursuline Academy (Marketing/Management major), totaled 10 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and nine draw controls for the 2-0 Cardinals last week. She finished with three ground balls, four draw controls and added three goals and one assist against Beloit. In the win over Northwestern, Fisher had seven ground balls, seven caused turnovers, five draw controls and added six goals and five assists.
