NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Aron Sebhat and
Nick Boesso were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Sebhat, a senior from Skokie, Illinois and Niles North High School (Exercise Science major), won the 1,500-meter run at the Illinois Twilight on Saturday at the University of Illinois. His time of 3:44.85 set a new school record and is ranked first in the CCIW and second nationally in NCAA Division III.
Boesso, a senior from Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Glenbard South High School (Mathematics/Secondary Education major), achieved three personal records at Augustana’s Meet of Champions on Saturday. He placed second in the shot put with a throw of 15.96 meters (52-4 ½), ninth in the hammer with a throw of 50.05 meters (164-2) and 10th in the discus with a throw of 44.12 meters (144-9). He currently ranks first in the CCIW in the shot put, third in the hammer and fourth in the discus.
