Chris Hill and Millikin’s
Adam Zuk were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday.
Hill, a junior catcher from Bristol, Illinois and Yorkville High School (Exercise Science major), won his second hitter of the week award of the season after batting .474 (9-for-19), with five runs, three doubles, one triple, three RBI and a .737 slugging percentage last week. He reached base in eight of nine plate appearances during a double header sweep of Wheaton on April 23. He was 3-for-4 with two runs and a double in a 12-1 win in game one, followed by a 4-for-5 performance with a run and two doubles in a 5-4 win in game two. Hill was 2-for-5 with a run, three RBI and one triple in a 13-6 win over Concordia-Chicago on April 19.
Zuk, a freshman pitcher from Plainfield, Illinois and Plainfield North High School (Sport Management major), moved to 4-1 on the season with a complete-game, 3-0 shutout at Illinois Wesleyan on April 22. He limited the Titans to three hits and allowed just one walk and tallied seven strikeouts.
