NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan’s Maggie Krause and North Central’s Gina Fisher were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.
 
Krause, a junior attacker/midfielder from Evanston, Illinois and Evanston Township High School (History major), totaled four goals and six assists for the 2-0 Titans last week. She tallied a goal, two assists and five draw controls in an 11-4 win at Elmhurst on April 27, followed by three goals and four assists in a 20-1 win over Carroll on April 30. The win over the Pioneers secured the No. 2 seed in this week’s CCIW Women’s Lacrosse Tournament.
 
Fisher, a senior midfielder from St. Louis, Missouri and Ursuline Academy (Marketing/Management major), helped lead the Cardinals to a pair of conference wins and a No. 3 seed in this week’s CCIW Tournament. She had nine ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls in a 17-2 win over Dubuque on April 27 and added five ground balls, three caused turnovers and one draw controls in a 10-9 overtime victory at Carthage on April 30. She also assisted on Madison Maas’ winning goal against the Lady Reds.
