NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Carthage’s
Madie Kaelber was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Kaelber, a sophomore guard from Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Indian Trail High School, averaged 24.5 points for the 1-1 Lady Reds last week. She finished with 16 points, three assists and four steals in a 67-49 win at Coe on November 21. Kaelber added a career-high 33 points, along with three rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 96-90 double overtime loss to 22nd-ranked University of Chicago on November 26.
