NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Augustana’s Olivia Mayer and North Central’s Jessica Deetjen were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday.
 
Mayer, a senior midfielder from Green Oaks, Illinois and Libertyville High School (Business Management & Psychology major), won her second-straight CCIW Offensive Player of the Week honor while helping the Vikings to a 2-0 record in the CCIW last week. She scored the game-winning goal 53 seconds into overtime of an 8-7 win at Carthage on April 15. Mayer finished with five goals, one assist and four ground balls in the win. She finished with two goals, including the game winner, one assist and two ground balls in a 15-12 win at Dubuque on April 12.
 
Deetjen, a freshman midfielder/defender from Naperville, Illinois and Naperville North High School (International Business major), helped lead the Cardinals to a pair of CCIW wins last week. She finished with five ground balls, five caused turnovers and four draw controls in a 19-1 win at Elmhurst on April 12, followed by four ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls in a 17-2 win over Carroll on April 15. Deetjen also had four goals against the Bluejays and two goals against the Pioneers.
