2018 CCIW All-Conference Women's Basketball Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced the members of the 2018 All-Conference Women's Basketball Team on Friday.

The all-conference team, which was chosen by the CCIW's head women's basketball coaches, featured a team of 16 student-athletes (eight first team and eight second team) and included eight conference institutions.

Illinois Wesleyan senior guard Rebekah Ehresman (Gridley, Ill./El Paso-Gridley) was named the CCIW's Most Outstanding Player as she became the first Titan player since Olivia Lett in 2012 to win the award. In 16 conference games, she led the CCIW in three statistical categories, including assists (4.69), steals (2.94) and assist/turnover ratio (4.17). 

Illinois Wesleyan's Mia Smith won her sixth CCIW Coach of the Year award after leading the Titans to their eighth conference regular season title in program history. Smith has been the head coach for every one of Illinois Wesleyan's CCIW titles and led the 2012 squad to a national title. 

Wheaton sophomore forward Hannah Frazier (Batavia, Ill./H.S.) became the first Thunder player since Katie McDaniels in 2014 to win CCIW Newcomer of the Year honors. In 16 conference games, Frazier was third in the CCIW in scoring (15.9), second in free throw percentage (.866), third in blocked shots (2.00) and fifth in field goal percentage (.516).

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2016-17 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,900 academic all-conference recipients, 10 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, one CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year and over 100 all-Americans.
