2018 CCIW All-Conference Men's Lacrosse Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced today the members of the 2018 All-Conference Men’s Lacrosse Team.
 
The all-conference team, which was chosen by the CCIW’s head men’s lacrosse coaches, featured a team of 26 student-athletes (13 first team and 13 second team) from five conference institutions.
 
Elmhurst junior attacker Mac Harden (Carlsbad, Calif./H.S.) became the first Bluejay to earn CCIW Offensive Player of the Year honors as he finished with 23 goals and nine assists in six conference contests this season.
 
Illinois Wesleyan junior faceoff specialist J.C. Grabarek (Bartlett, Ill./H.S.) was named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season as he led the conference with 72 ground balls and an .842 faceoff percentage (96-for-114) in CCIW conference matches this year.
 
Illinois Wesleyan sophomore Peter Trunk (Arlington Heights, Ill./St. Viator) became the first Titan since 2015 to win CCIW Newcomer of the Year honors as he finished with 26 goals and nine assist in CCIW competition.
 
Elmhurst head coach Mark Morrell won is first CCIW Coach of the Year honor after leading the Bluejays to a second place CCIW finish and a fourth-straight conference tournament appearance in 2018.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2016-17 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,900 academic all-conference recipients, 10 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 33 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, one CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year and over 100 all-Americans.
