NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Park's men's soccer program was ranked in the United Soccer Coaches National Preseason Top 25 as announced on Tuesday.

The Vikings (20-2-2, 7-0-1) placed second in the preseason top 25 following a national runner-up finish in 2017. Led by head coach John Born, North Park became the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's soccer program other than Wheaton to play in a national title match. Additionally, the Vikings won both the CCIW's regular season and tournament titles. The tournament title was the program’s fourth and first since 2010, while the regular season title was the Vikings’ fourth and first since 2006. It was also the program's sixth NCAA postseason appearance and first since 2014.
