NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan's Paul Oehrlein was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week Tuesday.
Oehrlein, a senior math & economics major from Des Plaines, Ill., and Maine West High School, went undefeated this weekend in doubles and singles against Beloit and Lawrence. He had victories of 8-1 (Beloit) and 8-4 (Lawrence) at No. 1 doubles with Dan Chang (Palos Hills, Ill./Stagg). Oehrlein also won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles against Beloit, and 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 singles against Lawrence.
