NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan’s Eliud Gonzalez was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday.

Gonzalez, a senior guard from Oak Lawn, Ill., and Richards High School (Business major), scored nine points and recorded a career-high 11 assists to go along with three rebounds, two steals and a block during the Titans’ 84-63 win over the University of Chicago on December 10. Gonzalez’ 11 assists tied a Ratner Center record and is tied for ninth all time in Illinois Wesleyan history. The record is 14, shared by Adam Dauksas (Benedictine, 12/22/03) and Brian Martin (Carthage, 2/9/91).
