NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Austin Breunig, North Park’s Nick French and Wheaton’s Zach Feddeler were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Football Players of the Week on Monday.
 
Breunig, a sophomore running back from Sandwich, Illinois and Sandwich High School (Exercise Science major), finished with the second-highest single-game rushing total of his career and tied a North Central single-game record with four rushing touchdowns in a 56-21 win over Elmhurst on Saturday. He rushed for 192 yards on 23 carries and also caught three passes for 21 yards. Breunig broke North Central’s single-season record with 18 rushing touchdowns and finished the year with a CCIW-best 14 touchdowns in conference play.
 
French, a sophomore defensive back from Langley, Washington and South Whidbey High School (Criminal Justice major), helped lead the Vikings to a 27-24 win over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday, their first win over the Titans since 1985. He recorded eight tackles including three tackles for a loss of 11 yards and one sack for minus five yards.
 
Feddeler, a freshman punter from Lakeland, Florida and Lakeland High School, helped lead Wheaton to its second-straight outright CCIW title with a 17-3 win over Carthage on Saturday. He punted four times for 134 yards (33.5-yard average) with a long of 41 yards. He had two punts (one in the second quarter and one in the third quarter) that were both downed at the one-yard line.
