Illinois Wesleyan's Bauer and Scott, North Central's Judka named CCIW Football Players of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan's Brandon Bauer and Keenan Scott, along with North Central's Derik Judka were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Football Players of the Week on Monday.

Bauer, a junior quarterback from Frankfort, Illinois and Lincoln-Way East High School (Accounting major), set a new Titan record for single game passing yards during Illinois Wesleyan's 40-13 win at North Park on Saturday. He completed 27-of-41 passes for 431 yards and five touchdowns and broke the previous record of 426 passing yards set by John Rooney against Elmhurst in 1983. Bauer also became the school's all-time leader in passing yards (6,746), pass completions (566) and tied Lon Erickson's all-time mark with 62 career passing touchdowns.

Scott, a sophomore linebacker from Evanston, Illinois and Riverside-Brookfield High School (Political Science major), totaled 16 tackles including 14 solo in the Titans' win over North Park. He also finished with one tackle-for-loss, one interception and one pass breakup as Illinois Wesleyan won a share of the CCIW title for the second-straight season. It was the program's 16th in school history and ninth under head coach Norm Eash.

Judka, a freshman kicker from Burbank, Illinois and Reavis High School (Electrical Engineering major), totaled 13 points for the Cardinals in their 55-12 win over Millikin on Saturday. He was 7-of-7 on extra point attempts and 2-of-2 on field goals attempts, connecting from 20 and 43 yards out. His 13 points tied a season high and he established a new school and CCIW single season record by finishing 14-of-14 on field goals this season. The win gave North Central a share of the CCIW title, which was the Cardinals' third-straight under head coach Jeff Thorne and 14th in program history.
