North Central's Barajas wins second-straight CCIW Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Dianne Barajas won her second-straight College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor on Tuesday.

Barajas, a junior from Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Schaumburg High School (Graphic Design major), won the Brismann-Lundeen Invitational, hosted by Augustana, on Friday. She finished with a season-best time of 22:02.0 in the 6K, winning by 11 seconds in a field of 324 athletes. It was Barajas' second-straight individual title following a first place finish at the Gil Dodds Invitational on September 15. On Friday, North Central won the title in a field of 27 teams.
