NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Ethan Greenfield, WashU's John Christensen and Millikin's David Jones were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Football Players of the Week on Monday.

Greenfield, a sophomore running back from Lindenhurst, Illinois and Lakes High School, achieved career highs in rushing yards and all-purpose yards during the Cardinals' 49-6 win over Carthage on Saturday. He rushed 13 times for 208 yards and two touchdowns, as well as one touchdown catch for 42 yards against the Red Men. His 208 rushing yards was the 10th-highest single-game total in North Central history, while his 250 all-purpose yards was the sixth-highest total in school history. Greenfield surpassed the 100-yard rushing plateau for the fourth-straight game.

Christensen, a sophomore linebacker from Frankfort, Illinois and Lincoln-Way East High School, totaled a career-high 16 tackles (seven solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, one sack and his first career interception during the Bears' 21-0 shutout at Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. Christensen and the WashU defense limited the Titans to 161 yards of total offense and forced six turnovers (two fumbles, four interceptions). It was WashU's first shutout since 2013.

Jones, a junior linebacker from Hammond, Indiana and Hammond High School, blocked three punts during the Big Blue's 34-0 shutout of Elmhurst on Saturday. Jones' third blocked punt came with 13:11 left in the third quarter that teammate Nathaniel Moore returned 15 yards for a touchdown.
