Illinois Wesleyan's Sosa named CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan junior guard Kendall Sosa was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

A native of Bloomington, Illinois and Normal Community High School, Sosa helped lead the Titans to a 3-0 record last week as she averaged 24.7 points. She scored 35 points, pulled down two rebounds and added two assists, one block and four steals in an 89-82 win at Chicago on November 12, followed by 25 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal in an 84-75 victory at UW-Stout on November 15. Sosa ended the week with 14 points, 13 rebounds and four steals in a 60-44 win over Calvin on November 16.
