Will Hurley were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Football Players of the Week on Monday.
Dicanio, a senior quarterback from Elmhurst, Illinois and York High School, rallied the Titans back from a halftime deficit during a 40-12 win over Millikin on Saturday. Illinois Wesleyan scored 33 unanswered points in the second half as Dicanio threw for career-highs of 300 yards and three touchdown passes, and also rushed for a career-high 68 yards on 10 carries and one rushing touchdown.
Villa, a junior defensive lineman from Naperville, Illinois and Naperville Central High School, set career highs in four defensive statistical categories in the Red Men's 46-14 win over North Park on Saturday. He totaled five solo tackles, five tackles-for-loss (-23 yards), including three sacks (-19 yards), and four forced fumbles against the Vikings.
Hurley, a junior defensive back from Burlington, Massachusetts and Buckingham Browne & Nichols School, had a 28-yard punt return for a touchdown with 10:06 left in the second quarter during the Bears' 35-14 win over Augustana on Saturday. His touchdown put WashU up 21-0. Additionally, Hurley had a tackle on the kickoff team and was also the holder on a fake field goal, which resulted in a first down that led to the Bears' fourth touchdown of the game.
