Niki Ahlstrand and Carthage's
Ellie LeCount were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday.
Ahlstrand, a senior middle blocker from Morton Grove, Illinois and Maine East High School, helped lead the Vikings to a pair of conference wins to close out the season. She had nine kills, hit .471 and added three digs and five blocks in a three-set win over North Central on October 30. Ahlstrand added 16 kills, hit .444 and had four digs in a five-set win over Carroll on November 2.
LeCount, a senior setter from Racine, Wisconsin and St. Catherine's High School, helped lead the Lady Reds to a pair of victories last week including a win over Millikin that clinched the program's 12th CCIW regular season title and first since 2015. She had 44 set assists and added four digs in a three-set victory over the Big Blue on October 30, followed by 36 assists and nine digs in a sweep of Aurora on November 2 that closed out the regular season.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
