2019 Fall Academic All-Conference | 2019 Fall Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced today the recipients of the conference’s Academic All-Conference honors from the 2020 fall season, which included over 700 student-athletes across the conference.

The CCIW Academic All-Conference list comprises those individuals that achieved an overall grade-point average of 3.30 or above and lettered in their respective sport, and have served at least one year in residency at their respective school.

Sports from the fall season include football, men's & women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's & women's cross country, women's tennis and women's golf. New this year was the addition of non-CCIW sponsored sports. For the fall, this included women's triathlon, which both Millikin and North Central sponsor.

Additionally, the CCIW announced all of the recipients of the fall's Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award. Each CCIW member institution selects two student-athletes (one male & one female) from each of the three sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) to be honored as Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference members. To be eligible, an individual must have an overall grade point average of 3.50 or above and have served at least one year in residency at their respective school. Click here for the selection entire criteria of both awards.

The Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award is named after the former Wheaton College Director of Athletics and CCIW Commissioner. Swartz served in the Athletics Director role from 1975-1982 and as CCIW Commissioner from 1987 until his passing on July 11, 1997.  
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
