CCIW Men's Basketball History
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- For the first time in over 10 months, College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's basketball teams will square off in competition, beginning this Saturday, January 23.
Each team is slated to participate in a 12-game schedule starting this Saturday and concluding on February 27.
Additionally, the 2021 CCIW Men's Basketball Tournament is slated for the week of March 1 and will feature all nine teams. Regular season standings will not determine a conference champion this season, but will assist in seeding the tournament.
Campus and conference officials will continue to monitor federal, state, local and campus conditions and testing availability and will make changes as necessary.

Returning All-American: Elmhurst senior guard Jake Rhode was a 2020 D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-American last season after he led the Bluejays in scoring (20.8 ppg), assists (119) and steals (41).
Final 2020 D3hoops.com Top 25: North Central and Elmhurst were ranked sixth and 10th, respectively, in the final D3hoops.com Top 25 poll announced at the conclusion of the 2019-20 season.
2019-20 CCIW Champion: North Central won its first CCIW regular season title since 2012 and third title under head coach Todd Raridon. It was the Cardinals' seventh title in program history as the team completed a 14-2 CCIW regular season.
2020 CCIW Tournament: Elmhurst won its first-ever CCIW Men's Basketball Tournament title last season and earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA postseason. It was the Bluejays' second-straight CCIW postseason appearance and fourth time in the last six seasons. Augustana continued its streak of being the only team to qualify for every CCIW tournament dating back to 2006, while regular season champion North Central made its sixth-straight conference postseason tournament. Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton each made its third-straight appearance, while Carthage qualified for the first time since 2017.
2020 NCAA Postseason: Elmhurst qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship for the first time since 2016 and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history. North Central made its fifth-straight NCAA appearance and qualified for the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2013 when the Cardinals made it all the way to the national semifinal round. Both teams were unable to compete in the Sweet 16 following the cancellation of the remainder of the NCAA tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
