2021 CCIW All-Conference Women's Soccer Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. --The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced on Tuesday the members of the 2021 All-Conference Women's Soccer Team.

CCIW regular season co-champion Wheaton led the way with seven all-conference recipients including four on the first team (Mia Blair, Lauren Ketchum, Izzy McNally, Audrey Sexson) and three on the second team (Morgan Beamer, Grace Hermanson, Tori Seeland). 

North Central had five selections led by three first teamers (Kaitlyn Cannon, Ellie Lochbaum, Elle Sutter) and two second teamers (Kily Egan, Katie Huey). CCIW co-champion Illinois Wesleyan had four selections with three first teamers (Anny Mitra, Lauren Shanks, Caelyn Steffens) and one on the second team (Rachel White).

Carroll (Elizabeth Weinberg, Kaitlin Zanon) and Millikin (Hope Limoges, Madyd Wood) each had two picks on the second team. Augustana (Kayla Garcia), Carthage (Morgan Verbeten), and Elmhurst (MJ Lessila) each had one second teamer.

Steffens, a senior midfielder from Normal, Illinois and Normal Community High School, was named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Year for the second-straight year after helping lead the Titans to a share of a CCIW title this season. This is the third-straight year that Illinois Wesleyan claimed Offensive Player of the Year honors following Flower Edington in 2018.

Ketchum, a senior goalkeeper from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Year. This is the third-straight year that Wheaton claimed Defensive Player of the Year honors following Sarah Tomich in 2018 and 2019.

Lindsey, a freshman goalkeeper from Valparaiso, Indiana was named the CCIW Newcomer of the Year. She is the first North Central player to earn Newcomer of the Year honors.

Wheaton head coach Cesar Gomez won his first CCIW Coach of the Year honors as the Thunder won their 22nd CCIW regular season title this season.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
