North Central claims first CCIW Men's Soccer Tournament title in program history

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central claimed its first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Soccer Tournament title with a 1-0 victory over Wheaton on Saturday at Benedetti-Wherli Stadium.

It was the program's first tournament title in program history in their second championship game appearance.

With the win, the Cardinals earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. It will be their first appearance in program history, which 

The NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship bracket will be announced via an NCAA.com Selection Show at 1:30 p.m. EST on Monday, November 8.

After scoring the game-winning goal in North Central's semifinal victory over Illinois Wesleyan, Jaziel Enriquez scored the only goal of the match on Saturday. Enriquez' tally came just after halftime with a 51st minute goal off a Herman Hesby assist.
