2021 CCIW All-Conference Men's Basketball Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced Wednesday the members of the 2021 All-Conference Men's Basketball Team.

This year's all-conference team featured two student-athletes each from Augustana, Carthage and Elmhurst, three each from Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton, and one each from Carroll, Millikin, North Central and North Park. Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton both had two First Team selections.

Wheaton junior guard Nyameye Adom was named the Fred Young Most Outstanding Player, the third time in the last four years a Thunder player has earned this award. He joins Wesley Pitts (1996), Rob Hamann (1999), Joel Kolmodin (2003), Kent Raymond (2007, 2008, 2009), Tim McCrary (2012), Tyler Peters (2014) and Aston Francis (2018, 2019) as one of eight Wheaton student-athletes to win Most Outstanding Player honors. Adom averaged 21.5 points and 4.2 rebounds this past season. 

Augustana guard Carter Duwa is the first Viking player since Ben Ryan in 2013 to win CCIW Freshman of the Year honors. Duwa was in his first season competing for Augustana after sitting out the 2019-20 season due to injury. Duwa averaged 16.3 points this past season. 

The 2021 season concluded on Friday with Illinois Wesleyan winning the CCIW Tournament title for the first time in program history.
