NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Park's Peder Olsen and Alfred Sward were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Olsen, a senior midfielder from Larvik, Norway, tallied two goals and three assists for the 2-1-0 Vikings last week. He had a goal and three assists in a 4-0 shutout of Knox on September 14, followed by the match's only goal on a free kick in a 1-0 upset of 20th-ranked Loras on September 17. He became North Park's all-time leader in goals scored (42) and assists (28) against Knox and currently has 43 goals in his career. 

Sward, a freshman goalkeeper from Strängnäs, Sweden, allowed just one goal in three matches last week. He made three saves in the upset shutout over Loras, and made four saves in a 1-0 loss to 16th-ranked Christopher Newport on September 19. Sward currently has four shutouts so far this season.
