North Park's Johnson wins second-straight CCIW Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Park senior Jayla Johnson won his second-straight College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honor on Monday.

Additionally, it was the Wheaton, Illinois native's third Student-Athlete of the Week selection this season. She averaged a double-double for the 2-1 Vikings last week, beginning with 20 points and 13 rebounds against Illinois Wesleyan on January 24. Two days later, Johnson had 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 55-48 win at Carthage. On Saturday, she finished the week with 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 65-58 win at Elmhurst. Johnson finished the week with eight assists, seven steals and six blocks.
