NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Wheaton senior guard
Tyson Cruickshank won his second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honor on Monday.
Cruickshank, a native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and ThunderRidge High School, helped the Thunder secure a No. 2 seed in the CCIW Tournament during an 88-63 win over Millikin on Saturday. He scored a game-high 28 points, distributed a career-high nine assists, shot 76.9 percent from the field (10-of-13) and was 4-of-6 (66.7 percent) from three-point range. He also added three rebounds, one steal and a block shot against the Big Blue. Three nights earlier, Cruickshank scored 16 points and added a game-high five assists, three rebounds, one blocked shot and a steal in a 77-67 win over North Park.
