NAPERVILLE – Illinois Wesleyan freshman Amber Ehrlich is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, according to a Wednesday morning announcement from the league office.
The Springfield, Ill. native notched six wins last week, including a perfect 4-0 mark from #1 singles. Ehrlich is Illinois Wesleyan’s first CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week in women’s tennis since Lauren Neitzel on Sept. 28, 2016.
The singles decisions extended Ehrlich’s win streak to five. She didn’t drop a set in her matchups against opponents from Monmouth, Elmhurst, Carthage and Carroll. Her 6-1, 6-4 triumph over EU’s Julia Kostadinova helped the Titans earn their first CCIW dual win since Oct. 16, 2021.
Ehrlich also teamed with Olivia Bell in doubles competition to secure wins against Monmouth and Elmhurst.
