NAPERVILLE – The latest iteration of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athletes of the Week in football were announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
 
Offense: Giovanni Weeks, Wheaton
Weeks extended his all-time Wheaton records for rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns on Saturday with with four scoring rushes in the Thunder’s 75-0 win over Millikin. The senior from Kent City, Mich. carried 10 times for 155 yards in the first half, scoring on rushes of 85, 18, 4 and 1 yard away. His career scoring average of 12.2 points per game leads all active players in all Divisions.
 
Defense: Ryan Schmadtke, WashU 
Schmadtke became the first player in Division III in more than two years to return two interceptions for touchdowns in the same game, helping the Bears beat Elmhurst, 66-0. His interceptions – which included 100 total yards in returns – came on back-to-back series in the third quarter, helping WashU extend its lead to 56-0.
 
Special Teams: Jahari Scott, Illinois Wesleyan
Scott produced his second return touchdown of the season on Saturday, taking an Augustana punt 92 yards for a score late in the third quarter for the Titans. He finished the afternoon with 157 total yards on six kickoff returns.
