NAPERVILLE – North Park senior forward Jordan Boyd averaged 20.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in a pair of league road wins to earn College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Boyd shot 8-for-11 from the floor for 20 points and hauled down 10 rebounds in North Park’s 87-84 victory at Carthage last Wednesday. He also had four steals and three blocks in the Vikings’ win at Tarble Arena.
The Bellwood, Ill. native followed with a season-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting over 41 minutes of action as NPU downed Elmhurst in double overtime on Saturday, 93-90. He had another 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.
