NAPERVILLE – Augustana senior Daniel Skold has been selected College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Wrestling Student-Athlete of the Week, according to a Tuesday afternoon announcement.
Skold, a senior from Plainfield, Ill., picked up a big win for the Vikings last Friday night at Wisconsin-Platteville, besting the Pioneers’ Brett Schoenherr 3-2 at 285 pounds. His opponent entered the bout ranked as high as #8 nationally by InterMat rankings.
Skold joins teammate Josh Woodrey (Dec. 20) as CCIW Student-Athletes of the Week in men’s wrestling this season.
