NAPERVILLE – Just two days after picking up a critical College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) victory, North Central teammates Austin Scott and Tyler Donovan have been selected as the league’s Men’s Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week.

Scott is the CCIW Hitter of the Week after returning from injury to lead the NCC offense in its three-set win over #4 Carthage on Saturday in Naperville. The sophomore from Waldorf, Md. put down a career-high 19 kills on 38 swings, adding four digs and two block assists for the 10th-ranked Cardinals in their first-ever CCIW win over the Firebirds.

Donovan has now won the Defense/Setter/Libero honor in three consecutive weeks. He assisted on 41 of the Cardinals’ 49 kills in the win at Gregory Arena, adding eight digs, two block assists and a service ace. The performance marked his sixth 40-assist match of 2023.
