CCIW Announces Football Student-Athletes of the Week

NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selected three individuals as Student-Athletes of the Week after Week 4 of the football season on Monday afternoon.

Offense: Josh Raby, Carroll
Raby quarterbacked a Carroll offense that erupted for a program-record 581 yards of total offense in the Pioneers’ 70-23 CCIW win over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday in Waukesha. Raby went 23-for-33 for 394 yards and four touchdowns to go along with 29 rushing yards and a fifth score on the ground. His 423 yards of total offense set a new single-game CU record.

Defense: Jaydin Miller, North Park

Miller was the star for North Park in the Vikings’ 38-0 league shutout of Millikin. The junior linebacker from South Bend, Ind. tallied nine tackles, seven of which were unassisted, and tacked on 3.0 of NPU’s 4.0 sacks for the game. Miller topped the performance off with a third-quarter interception that was returned 17 yards.

Special Teams: Sean Ryniec, North Central
Ryniec, a freshman, spearheaded an outstanding special-teams effort for the top-ranked Cardinals. He converted his first career field goal attempt and went 8-for-8 on extra-point tries in NCC’s 59-6 win at Elmhurst. He averaged 58.3 yards on nine kickoffs with a touchback, as the Bluejays finished the afternoon with zero kickoff return yards.
