NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday for matches played between Monday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 27.
 
Offensive: Pryse Anderson, Wheaton, Senior (Fort Worth, Texas)
Anderson put up his third multi-goal effort of the season last Wednesday, scoring both goals for the Thunder in their 2-1 win over Carroll.
 
Facing a 1-0 deficit, Anderson hit the equalizer in the 15th minute of the match. He later delivered the match winner at 86:30, helping Wheaton earn its sixth CCIW win of the season and maintain first place in the league standings.
 
Defensive: Dennis Rinne, North Park, Freshman (Stord, Norway)
Rinne’s heroics on Saturday afternoon – an 82nd-minute goal – kept the Vikings in the race for the league’s regular season title.
 
Rinne, a defender, scored his third goal of the season at 81:34, unknotting a scoreless tie with North Central and vaulting the Vikings to a 1-0 road win. It was the fourth shutout victory for the Vikings since Oct. 9, a stretch in which Rinne has played the full 90 minutes four times.
