NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Women’s Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday for matches played between Monday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 10.
 
Hitter: Addison Oyer, Millikin, Junior (Ludlow, Ill.)
Oyer delivered two strong performances for the Big Blue last week in their victories over DePauw and #8 WashU on Saturday. The outside hitter had 10 kills on 30 swings in MU’s sweep of DePauw, then followed with 16 kills against only three errors in the sweep of the nationally ranked Bears.
 
Oyer finished the day with 4.92 points and 4.33 kills per set to go along with a .344 hitting percentage.
 
Setter: Devinn Bell, Carthage, Senior (Lindenhurst, Ill.)
Bell averaged 10.13 assists across eight sets last week, helping the Firebirds to victories over Augustana and Aurora.
 
In Wednesday’s win at Augustana, she dished 29 assists to go along with 11 digs and four kills for her fourth double-double the season. She added a fifth double-double on Saturday, logging 52 assists, 10 digs and four more kills in the Firebirds’ five-set win over the Spartans.
 
Defensive: Kailee Itzenhuiser, Millikin, Senior (Naperville, Ill.)
Itzenhuiser – who previously earned three CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week awards this season as a hitter – collected the league’s defensive honor on Tuesday after averaging 5.17 digs and 0.33 blocks per set in MU’s wins over DePauw and #8 WashU.
 
She had 17 digs and a block assist in the win over DePauw, then contributed 14 digs and another block assist against WashU. She also contributed on the offensive end, averaging 2.67 kills and 3.33 points in the six sets.
