NAPERVILLE – There was no movement in the national polls for #1 North Central and #23 Wheaton when D3football.com released its rankings on Sunday and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) published its poll on Monday.
The Cardinals are still atop both rankings with 18 first-place votes and 618 points from D3football.com and 36 first-place votes and 1,235 points from the coaches association. NCC ran its overall record to 8-0 and its College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) mark to 7-0 with a 56-3 victory over Carroll on Saturday.
Wheaton, a 65-17 winner over Elmhurst at McCully Stadium on Saturday, was unchanged at #23 with 91 points in the D3football.com poll. The Thunder received 30 points from the AFCA to remain outside the top 25.
