ELMHURST, Ill. – North Central was the team winner at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Wrestling Championships on Thursday in Elmhurst, Ill. The result marked NCC’s second consecutive league title and its 10th overall since 1962.
 
The Cardinals finished with 171.5 team points, while Millikin was second with 128.0 points. Concordia Wisconsin placed third with 110.5 points, the Falcons’ highest team finish since joining the league as an associate member prior to the 2016-17 season. Augustana finished fourth, while MSOE was fifth to equal its previous top finish since joining the conference in 2016-17.
 
North Central had six individual champions – Christian Guzman (125), Robbie Precin (133), Bradley Rosen (141), Javen Estrada (157), Alex Villar (165) and Robby Bates (285). The Cardinals logged a top-three finish in nine of 10 weight classes.

NCC head coach Zach Cook repeated as the CCIW Coach of the Year. Last week, Cook led the Cardinals to their 50th consecutive CCIW dual win and the league's regular-season championship.
 
Jon Pullen of Concordia Wisconsin was voted CCIW Most Outstanding Student-Athlete after earning a 19-5 major decision in the 184 final over NCC’s Cole Cervantes. CUW freshman Cole Ramas was named First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year after claiming the title at 149 pounds.
