NAPERVILLE – Elmhurst guard John Ittounas is the recipient of the final College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week award of the 2023-24 season, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.
Ittounas, who was named a unanimous All-CCIW First Team honoree on Monday, scored a season-high 27 points in last Wednesday’s regular-season finale, a 76-75 overtime win at Carroll. He hit the go-ahead 3-pointer in the closing seconds of overtime, the exclamation point on a 10-for-16 shooting effort that included four 3-pointers.
The senior from Vernon Hills, Ill. also dished five assists and hauled down three rebounds in the win.
