NAPERVILLE – Jacob Hardt, a junior at Carthage, is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in men’s swimming, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Hardt won the 100 breaststroke and also contributed to three of the Firebirds’ relay wins at the Wisconsin Private College Championships last weekend in Kenosha.
His time of 57.10 seconds in the 100 breaststroke was third-fastest in the CCIW this winter and just 0.08 off of Hardt’s career best. He also helped the Firebirds to wins in the 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay (25.43-second breaststroke split) and 400 medley relay.
