NAPERVILLE – Seven student-athletes from preseason #1 North Central and two more from preseason #9 Wheaton were selected as preseason All-Americans by D3football.com on Thursday.
Honorees from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on the First Team include five from North Central – running back Joe Sacco, wide receiver Trey Madsen, offensive tackle Jeske Maples, defensive end and 2023 CCIW Don Larson Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year Martin Egbo and linebacker BJ Adamchik.
Wheaton running back Giovanni Weeks was also selected for the First Team.
The Second Team included NCC quarterback Luke Lehnen, who was the CCIW Art Keller Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year and Gagliardi Trophy award recipient last season. Offensive lineman Sam Pryor also represented the Cardinals on the Second Team offense.
Wheaton defensive back Max Wilson was the lone CCIW honoree on the Second Team defense.
